About Us
Two Generations of Commercial Cookware
Decent Cookware is one of India's leading manufacturers of commercial pressure cookers and big tri-ply cookers for the HoReCa sector — hotels, restaurants, caterers and institutions. With one of the widest ranges in the country, from 2 to 110 litre, and our own aluminium rolling plant, we build every cooker in-house to a standard professional kitchens depend on.
How It All Started
Our journey began with a modest factory crafting bakelite handles. Over time, a passion for the craft and a commitment to quality propelled us into full pressure-cooker manufacturing — expanding from compact domestic sizes to the large commercial and jumbo cookers that professional kitchens demand.
With each passing generation, we embraced the challenge of refining our craft. The next generation added an aluminium rolling mill — a crucial in-house source of cookware-grade base material that lets us control quality at every stage, from the raw metal to the finished cooker. This vertical integration is what allows us to guarantee consistency across our full range and serve commercial and HoReCa buyers at scale.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND DECENT
Two generations, one commitment to quality since 1999
Our Founder
Our founder, Hari Sharan Mittal, began not as a product engineer but as someone with an instinct for quality and a willingness to work harder than anyone around him. Starting from a small factory making bakelite handles, he built Decent through sheer passion, technical skill and an uncompromising commitment to doing things properly.
His humility and hands-on leadership set the tone the company still runs on today — lead by example, never cut corners, and always put the quality of the product first.
Managing Director
Kapish Mittal, our Managing Director, joined the business young and brought with him a Master's in Business Administration and a clear conviction: control the quality by controlling the process.
Under his leadership, Decent took a step few cookware makers attempt — building its own aluminium rolling plant to bring the entire manufacturing chain in-house, from sourcing raw material to rolling cookware-grade aluminium to producing the finished cooker.
This vision of vertical integration is what lets Decent guarantee consistent quality across its full range and serve commercial and HoReCa buyers at scale.
